4th of July Activities
The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. Sitting outside with friends/family and watching fireworks exploding high in the Nampa sky has always brought a smile to my face. Below are some ideas to get your children ready for the holiday and focus on their speech/language skills.
Include your child in making food for the 4th of July parade. You can put out a bowl of strawberries, blue berries and white cheese. Have your child practice requesting the food items to put on the skewer to make a red-white-blue pattern.
There are great 4th of July free downloads on teacher pay teachers. Check out the following links for some activities.

The 4th of July Emergent Reader story is a great way to expose your child to concepts and vocabulary words associated to the 4th of July.
